Yes, I’m elated, I’m exhausted, and I’m relieved, but mostly I’m proud to tell you that after several years I’ve completed the first draft of the Dominatrix Boss sequel.
I wish I could tell you that it’s actually taken me that long to write the book, but it was really just a series of personal and professional obstacles that I had to overcome to finish the book. The good thing is that I learned SO MUCH through this process. I’ve learned how to do the NEXT BOOK faster, and you’ll see the results of that over the next few months. I’ll also be sharing what I learned in a bunch of posts here, and on my site.
So, what’s next?
I know how this all goes because I’ve been through it before.
I’m officially in editing mode now as I go through what I have. I’ll be looking for grammar issues, continuity issues, and I’ll both expand some chapters and tighten some up.
Once I run through it once I’ll send it off to my editor (the wonderful Beth A. Freely who edits for author services company The Muses Funhouse). I’ll also send it out to a new Street Team for them to read it (I’ll be asking for new members of my Street Team right here).
Then, once I have the edited version, and hear back the initial thoughts from my Street Team, I’ll put the finishing touches on it, have the cover and interior designed and get it to you!
I’m hoping all of that happens in about two months. It could happen earlier, or later.
I’m also working on something else closely related, and that’s probably coming first.
The bottom line is the wait for the sequel is almost over, and I’m already working on the plot of the 3rd book (seriously).
