I’ve Mapped Out the City Where Dominatrix Boss Is Set

There are a lot of things that I’ve been working on, even if you haven’t seen the full results yet. I’m so excited to share it all with you!

One thing that I discovered while writing the sequel to Dominatrix Boss, is that I really needed to keep track of a bunch of things… time, characters, settings, plots… the list is almost endless.

Something that I haven’t discussed, up to now, is that I’m defining and building a whole world (well, a city) around the characters of Dominatrix Boss, plus a few other sets of characters. All of these kinky characters are going to live in a city named Liberty.

Why have I done this? For several reasons. Some of the reasons are related to storytelling and some are related to marketing.

When it comes to storytelling, it sure helps a lot to create a map where I have everything laid out. It will help when I’m figuring out transit times, and naming specific locations. But maybe more importantly, having a map is the first step to making Liberty another character in the book. I’ll create this city, and build the local flavor, over a series of books. It’s my hope that Liberty will become just as much of the story as the characters who live there.

I’m inspired, more than a little, by the TV shows Virgin River and Yellowstone. Both of those shows do such a great job of using the setting as a forge to refine the characters.

Also, when I’m creating new stories, I don’t have to recreate the setting each time. I have a location that’s already been built, and that the readers are familiar with. Liberty is going to be the kinkiest city on Earth!

As for marketing, I’m officially announcing here that I’m going to be writing multiple sequels to Dominatrix Boss, and other series set in Liberty. What that means is that it won’t just be my name unifying the kinky stories I’m telling… it will be the setting as well.

Every story I have planned out (and I have ideas for seven books right now) are all set in Liberty. Most of those are with the Dominatrix Boss characters, but I have three other series ideas too. And I’m setting up my workload and building a system to start writing and releasing those on a regular schedule.

If you’ve read Dominatrix Boss you’ll be familiar with some of the settings and characters I mention on the map. But some of what you see on the map are in the sequel. The world is already growing.

This map of Liberty is just one small aspect of this world I’m building in the hopes of entertaining you!
