Progress on the Dominatrix Boss Sequel

I’ve hit a major milestone on the Dominatrix Boss sequel.

If you’ve been following me closely, you may have heard that I transcribed much of the Dominatrix Boss sequel. While it did allow me to “write” quickly, cleaning this up in the editing phase has been a nightmare. Not only were there endless grammar issues, but the text needed to be re-written to sound like my voice.

Needless to say, I won’t be doing transcription again. Additionally, I’ll be writing a long article on the subject soon. I think other writers might appreciate my point of view on the subject.

But I have good news! I’m finally past editing the chapters that were transcribed!!! I just edited a chapter that I typed out like usual and it was 3-4 times faster than editing up to this point.

Chapter 12 of the sequel was my last transcribed chapter. I just finished with Chapter 13. And the whole book is 21 chapters. That means I have 8 chapters left to edit. And those chapters should go faster than any up to this point.

As soon as I get through with this second draft I’ll be looking for street team members, who will get a copy of the second draft, some extra access to me and my promotional stuff, and my deep thanks for helping out.

The bottom line is that the sequel is coming soon. It’s close.

Thanks to everyone for all their help and support. I’m doing this with you in mind!

Looking forward to your post about transcription! I tried it when I had a ton of driving by myself to deal with one month and I cranked a lot out, but you definitely have to stay on top of editing it every day or you find yourself staring at a puzzle that doesn’t make much sense later. 😉

It’s also not ideal if you don’t have a private setting to work from, so I’m still torn on it myself.

      Thank you!!!

I really want to break it down, because there are both big positives and big negatives (for me). And I think I can help out some other writers who may be interested.
